"Ma Mère l'Oye" is a piano four-hand suite composed in 1910 by French composer Maurice Ravel based on a fairy tale. Later, it was arranged into an orchestral suite and ballet music, which are still performed in concerts today. Lento & Vivace has arranged the 4th movement "Dialogue of Beauty and the Beast (Les entretiens de la belle et de la bête)" for solo. In the original, the countermelody between the low (beast) and high (beauty) notes in the second half has a very unstable tonality, but here it is arranged in a tonality that is easy to get used to. It is a lovely and very beautiful song that is said to be influenced by Erik Satie's Gymnopedie. As long as you pay attention to the pitch of the accidentals, even beginners can play this piece.
