Falla is one of Spain's leading composers, whose portraits were also used on Spanish banknotes. "Fire Festival Dance" is one of the songs in the ballet "El amor brujo", which has a high gorgeous effect and is often played alone.
The outline of "El amor brujo" is that the widow Candelus falls in love, but the ghost of her late husband is jealous of this and tries to disturb her. So Candelas tells his friend Lucia to seduce the spirit of her late husband and fulfill her love in the meantime.
"Fire Festival Dance" is a song of exorcism when demons are dispelled. The swaying and burning flames of Trill add to the suspicious atmosphere, and the ghost of her ex-husband, who loved women, appears and begins to dance together. The dance of the daughters gradually increased in speed, and when the momentum reached the climax, the ghost was sucked into the bonfire and disappeared forever.
Japanese skater Mao Asada, a female figure skating single, also used it for the program song for the 2016-2017 season.
