It is said that "The Farewell Song", which is also Chopin's signature work, was composed in 1832, when Chopin was 22 years old. It may be that around this time Chopin left his native Poland and moved his base to Paris, where he developed a feeling that would have been overlapped with his "heartfelt dreaming of success in Paris" and "heartfelt nostalgic for the countryside". However, the title "Farewell Song" was not given by Chopin, but because the song was used in the 1934 film "Farewell Song", which depicts Chopin's life. This "farewell song" is titled an exercise song (etude), but has been performed in concerts by many pianists. The contrast between the beautiful melody and the intense melody in the middle part is also great, and it is a famous song with a high degree of completion.
I arrange piano pieces for instrumental solo music, so I think you will feel different and attractive again.
* The original song is in E major, but the violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe and bassoon are arranged in D major, alto saxophone, The tenor saxophone, Horn, trumpet and euphonium are arranged in C major.
