Handel was born in Germany in 1685 and was later naturalized in England.I am a composer of baroque music. The final song "Hallelujah" (commonly known as "Hallelujah Chorus") in the second part of the oratorio "Messiah" can be said to be Handel's masterpiece."Hallelujah" is a Christian or Jewish word that means "praise God." It is mainly used when you feel gratitude to God or when you feel the splendor of God, and it is used at the beginning of prayer or when you are happy. There is an anecdote that King George II stood up in the middle of "Halelujah" when he first performed in London in 1743, and later became a full-fledged audience (although it is now considered unhistorical). This is due to the fact that there was once a custom to stand up when a song praising the omniscient and omnipotent god was performed in England. It is from this anecdote that the audience stands up at "Hallelujah" even at Japanese concerts.
* The original song is in D major, but it is arranged in F major to make it easier to play.
