"Sheep may salely graze" is the ninth song of the cantata, commonly known as "Hunting Cantata", composed by Bach, dedicated to the birthday of Christian, Prince of Saxony, on February 27, 1713. Likened the shepherd to the lord and the sheep to the people, "Under the good shepherd, the sheep can eat grass in peace" = "Under the good lord, people can live in peace", the content of honoring the lord of Bach.
