Bridge "Berceuse"
Bridge "Berceuse"
With folk songs by Holst and Vaughan Williams becoming the mainstream of British music in the early 20th century, Frank Bridge created a variety of new music on the European continent of the same era (French impressionism, Russian symbolism). Inspired by Principle, German Symbolism), he is a composer who has maintained his own music. For this reason, during his lifetime, he remained only as Benjamin Britten's teacher, but was isolated as a composer and neglected. But as one of the forgotten composers of the 1970s, his inventive step was re-evaluated. There are many of his works that are friendly and very human.
This Berceuse is a work wrapped in the deep affection and kindness of the mother. At Lento & Vivace, the arrangement is performed by adding the piano solo part in the final stage, which is not in the original song. Originally composed for viola and piano performances, it is arranged for other instrumental music, so please try it.
