Bruckner "memories"
Bruckner "memories"
Anton Bruckner was born on September 4, 1824 in Ansfelden, south of Linz, Austria, a small village with a population of only 350 at the time. At the age of 13, he became a boy choir member of the St. Florian Monastery, enrolled in an affiliated school, where he received music education, including organs, and participated in many musical activities. In 1856, he became the organist of the cathedral of Linz, the capital of the state. It seems that Bruckner began to think of life as a musician as his way of life from the age of 32. In Linz, he demonstrated his skills as a chorus conductor in the male chorus "Frodin", and during this period, under the guidance of Simon Sechter, a professor at the Vienna Conservatory, he began composing techniques such as harmony and counterpoint for six years. I learned thoroughly. Bruckner began his career as a composer in earnest after 1861, when he completed his training under Sechter. In 1868, he was appointed professor of the Vienna Conservatory and organist of the Court Chapel, where he will spend the rest of his life in Vienna.
Bruckner comes to mind with heavy harmony symphonies and religious choruses, but he also writes a few piano pieces. Works around 1826I arrange a piano piece called "Memories" for instrumental solo. Although it is a song that can be played relatively easily, you can enjoy the development of Bruckner's harmony, and please try this masterpiece that you can feel the godliness.
